This is a Bernina machine model no. Aurora 430 with attachable Embroidery Unit.
It is an amazing machine perfect those who would like to be able to sew anything and everything and also add a nice touch to gifts for others or for your own home.
*It has the Bernina detachable accessory cabinet.
*It currently has 8 different feet in it but can hold up to 20.
*It has room for 10 bobbins and 2 drawers for thread and machine oil or whatever you'd like!
*The machine itself has a throttle control for going fast or slow without needing to be cautious of how heavy your foot is.
*It has a presser foot knee-control--so that on difficult corners you can keep your hands on the material and still lift or lower the foot.
*It has 150 different pre-programmed embelishment stitches (no embroidery unit needed)
*And 2 pre-programmed alphabets for name tags or monogramming
*As well as a programable memory so you don't have to change your stitch after every letter, simply program what you want to spell and go!
*It also has a protective case with a handle for travel or taking the machine in for cleaning and maintenance.
*The detachable embroidery unit also has a protective carrying case.
*It is powerful yet extremely simple and easy to use.
*The embroidery unit can handle everything from the smallest embelishment around a button hole, to full pant leg embelishments, using the different embroidery hoop sizes.
And when you're done simply detach it and put it back in its protective case.
I bought this machine 2 years ago from The Presser Foot in Longmont, but never realy used it. The only embroidery I did on it being a set of Monogrammed Towels (2) that I gave as a wedding gift, and a small (2in x3in) personalization on a baby blanket also as a gift. Other than that I've only done small intermittent things with it. Mostly patching pants or shirts. Not even using the embroidery unit.
However once I did repair a leather purse using a sharp leather needle and adjusted the settings all the way down, to low & slow and it did beautifully.
Since I bought it I've had the regular recommended cleaning and maintenance done on it.
