This role is an extraordinary opportunity and involves responsibility for leading the Americas sales team and delivering against revenue goals of region. The successful candidate will drive and align sales resources to best support the overall company goals and objectives. They will focus on helping customers maximize the benefits of our technology, Ubuntu Advantage support services and expanding partner ecosystem with a strong focus on telco's and managed service providers. As part of the day to day activities; they will direct the activities of the North American sales team, monitoring and driving sales activity. Additionally, they will work closely with the team on all major opportunities, developing and closing deals with the key decision makers. The successful individual will be a proven sales leader who has a hands-on attitude, a strong understanding of technology changes and can work at both a strategic and tactical level. They must have a sense of urgency, be energetic, able to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment. This role will drive the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals with telco, service provider and key large enterprise customers. Responsibilities Oversee the hiring and development of a the direct sales organization, appropriate for the company’s maturity/size Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management. Be a role model for the company culture Run compensation, training, and sales incentive programs. Drive the development of regional sales strategies. Work closely with VP Global Sales & Business Development to develop, establish, and direct sales strategies and programs. Work closely with marketing to develop and execute lead programs. Requirements At least 7 years sales experience in comparable industries, with 2 years in a management position Proven track record of excelling in sales (top 10% year on year) Established contacts and relationships with potential customers a plus. Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners. Proven evangelical sales track record in a new product/new market environment. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environment. Experience with a specific sales methodology, sales funnel management. Capacity to assume more significant executive responsibilities over time.
