Responsibilities Participates as a member of an Software R&D team Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Experience with Unix/Linux packaging tools (RPM, Deb, ipkg, pacman) Experience with build automation (DevOps) practices and automation software (Jenkins, CruiseControl.NET, TFS) Experience in Software Configuration Management & Build and Release Management Experience with Source Control - Git and SVN a plus Working knowledge of Jenkins, Ant, Gradle, Maven, Artifactory, JIRA, SVN/Git appreciated. Working knowledge of Docker, virtualization and cloud services preferred Designs, prepares and implements automation of software build and release activities, processes and systems. Installs Works with specifications pertaining to current and future software development requirements Develops and manages production build and release environments, tools and systems Participates as a member of an Software R&D team Designs, prepares and implements automation of software build and release activities, processes and systems. Installs Works with specifications pertaining to current and future software development requirements Develops and manages production build and release environments, tools and systems Participates as a member of an Enterprise Software R&D team in a complex, highly integrated environment. Performs analysis of functional and business requirements. Collaborates across business functions to develop implementation plans supporting software development continuous integration, deployment and operations. Contributes to design activities and will work closely with local management and global teams to design and implement appropriate solutions to solve problems. Works independently and with little supervision. Designs, prepares and implements automation of software build and release activities, processes and systems. Installs software to specifications pertaining to current and future software development requirements. Develops and manages production build and release environments, tools and systems. Independently implements end-user or enterprise infrastructure of moderate complexity or services assisted by more senior technologist for more complex solutions. Provides time / resource estimates for assigned tasks Education and Experience Education and Experience Required: Typically a technical Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience 5 or more years related experience. Industry standard certifications a plus. Experience with source control management and continuous deployment environments preferred. Past experience in a fast-paced, complex development environment is expected. Knowledge and Skills Software development experience in one or more industry standard languages Experience developing using SQL and/or NoSQL databases System Administration experience with multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux and other Unix systems strongly preferred. Experience with z/OS a plus. Experience troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving software and production system failures Working knowledge of Jenkins, Ant, Gradle, Maven, Artifactory, JIRA, SVN/Git appreciated Working knowledge of Docker, virtualization and cloud services preferred Interpersonal skills with an ability to manage relationships in a cross-functional team structure is essential to success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team. Project management skills preferred.
